A new Harvey Pekar book is always worth a look and this one, The Beats: A Graphic History, charts the rise of the US literary movement promising to include references to the likes of Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg and William Burroughs as well as lesser-known poets writers. Early reviews are highly favorable despite quibbles over some of the biographical details.Due in store 22nd April at £16.50.
