Spider-Man, the most iconic of superheroes is coming to Crawley library. The web-slingers’ former editor Tim Quinn will give a talk at Crawley library on the history of comic books, his authoritative presentation will reflect on his time working for Britain’s Beano, Sparky and Bunty before being lured across the Atlantic to bring his inventive talents to play working for America’s Marvel comics where he edited Spider-Man and X-Men.
Tim Quinn is an icon of the Comic world, Spider-Man’s creator Stan Lee calls him ‘Titanic Tim’, Queen guitarist Brian May credits Quinn as being ‘good for vibes’, Gyles Brandreth sums his talent up as ‘Genius’.
The success of Marvel Comic blockbuster cinema hits, such as the Spider-Man trilogy, X-Men and Iron Man should ensure Quinn’s talk will be popular with both young and old, so booking tickets is essential, the audience are invited to attend the talk wearing their super hero attire, Tim’s talk draws on a tradition of 42,000 years of the comic book, so there are plenty to choose from.

The talk is suitable for ages 9+ Tickets £3.
