SOMETHING OLD

WATCHMEN FRENCH EDITION COVERS

Way back in the late 80's Watchmen was collected in France in 6 over sized hardcovers,

 all featuring new covers fully painted by series co-creator

 and Before Watchmen apologist/light supporter Dave Gibbons.

I for one am ever so surprised that these images were not used 

to dress the Before Watchmen collections or at the very least offered as 

Variant covers in the same manner that Marvel offers it's Masterworks.

The covers were actually released in North America as a Portfolio along

 with the original series covers and the teaser ads.

So seeing as this is 

Before Watchmen Collection Day
