We have an absolutely fantastic selection of comics in store for you this week, with thrilling new series and long awaited arrivals heading your way. I'm sure everyone will be relieved to know the perpetually delayed JUPITER'S RISING #4 is finally here! Also by Mark Millar is the debut of his new pulp science fiction series STARLIGHT, the first of several interconnected titles in the MILLARWORLD UNIVERSE. And speaking of science fiction, there's TALES OF HONOUR #1, based on the best selling space opera novels of David Weber, which looks great for SF and Mass Effect fans. Lazarus writer Greg Rucka has a new miniseries with VEIL, a horror thriller that's generating lots of online buzz,  and EVIL EMPIRE by Max Bevis looks like a fascinating take how real world governments become the terrible dictatorships we usually only see in fiction. While there are no new series at DC, we do have the finale of FOREVER EVIL: ARKHAM WAR and conclusion to crossover event GOTHTOPIA, as well as the penultimate issue of the always excellent TRILLIUM.  Meanwhile at Marvel the All New Marvel Now initiative is still going strong, with a new series for MAGNETO, second issues for the utterly delightful (and sell out!) SHE-HULK and LOKI: AGENT OF ASGARD, the finale of NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEADPOOL, and most important of all, the debut of Warren Ellis' vision for MOON KNIGHT! We're all terribly excited about it, and hope you are too. :)

WHY WE LOVE IT: After POLARITY, we just had to work with writer (and Say Anything lead singer) Max Bemis again, and his thrilling take on how our modern society could evolve into an evil empire is absolutely terrifying.
WHY YOU WILL LOVE IT: Every fan of fiction is aware of the trope of the "evil, sinister empire" i.e. the Empire in "Star Wars." Often, when we are introduced to these totalitarian establishments, they are already fully in power and it's up to our hero to bring back order and peace. However, in EVIL EMPIRE, we explore how that would unfold in a real-world setting. How close to the precipice are we right now in the world we live in? Would we let it happen? More specific to this tale: Would we secretly WANT it to happen?
