Happy New Year everyone!

It's a small but mighty week for new comics, with Grant Morrison's lost MIRACLEMAN story and a brand new series for AGENTS OF SHIELD, an adorable all ages comic about a girl and her giant fuzzy best friend in ABIGAIL AND THE SNOWMAN, a double-sized EAST OF WEST, and the winner for most unusual crossover of the year STAR TREK PLANET OF THE APES: THE PRIMATE DIRECTIVE. (I think they wanted to create this series just to make that pun, don't you? ;-)

ABIGAIL AND THE SNOWMAN #1

 WHY WE LOVE IT: From his acclaimed run on THE MUPPET SHOW COMIC BOOK to his beloved THOR: THE MIGHTY AVENGER, Roger Langridge has earned a reputation for telling classic stories filled with heart and humour. The fact that there are Yetis in this only made us even more confident Roger's latest is going to be something special.

WHAT IT'S ABOUT: Abigail is a nine year old girl with a huge imagination who moves to a small town where she's the new kid at school, struggling to make friends. All that changes when she meets a Yeti named Claude who has escaped a top government facility. Abigail and Claude become the best of friends, but to make sure he can truly be free from the "Shadow Men" chasing him, they must go on an adventure to find Claude's real home!
