Surely it's only a matter of time before US television latches on to Scalped (DC) as the next big grounded, gritty, violent slice of on-going drama. It's quietly crept up to seven volumes now with consistent work by Jason Aaron and R.M. Guera and if you haven't done already it's really worth a look.

Also out this week is Warren Ellis's Freakangels volume 5 (Avatar) continuing to collect the online comic (seen here) about a group of 23-year-olds with special abilities in an alternative, ruined London recovering from severe flooding.
And if you're looking for something a little crazier try the new Tank Girl collection The Royal Escape (Titan). The well-reviewed (see here) Alan C. Martin and Rufus Dayglo continue to channel the spirit of the original series, throwing our girl in the middle of a war zone.
